|Rescue Me ID: 16-03-13-00125Murphy (male)|
Murphy is such an amazing boy! He's only a year and a half old, but has an old and gentle soul. He's very sweet and tender, but also very timid. It takes him some time to get used to humans. Absolutely no aggression. He hasn't growled or shown his teeth; he just avoids. He needs a patient home who will give him a bit of time to acclimate, and once he does, you will have the best pup ever! Lovely, lovely boy. Murphy is excellent with other dogs, big and small. He LOVES them and we think he really needs a home with at least one other dog. They help him feel comfortable. Right now he's really enjoying snuggling with his BFF Timmy (see photo). And check-out the video of them playing. Murphy likes to begin every morning playing with someone. :) Murphy is also pretty independent. He LOVES to play with toys and has no trouble keeping himself occupied. Playful. Quiet. House trained. Loyal. We think he'd be best where he has a secure home with a yard where he can come and go as he pleases. One thing to know, though it's becoming less and less of an issue. . . In late November, while we were teaching him to walk on a leash, he got away from his foster and lost a run-in with a much larger car. He had a broken pelvis that required two surgeries. His final x-rays at the end of the year showed that his bones are healing right on schedule, and the surgeon expects a full recovery. To see him walk or run you wouldn't know there was ever an issue. He's still working on jumping up on the sofa, and is getting better at it every day. The surgeon says he'll continue to show improvement over the next three months. Murphy weighs about eleven pounds. Excellent sleeping in a crate at night, though he's also a great snugglier. He's neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on his shots. Just a lovely boy. Not sure you're ready to commit? How about fostering?? You supply the love. We supply everything else. We're sure that if you give him a try, you won't regret it! Interested in Adopting?
